The United Nations Military Observer Course is designed for officers who are involved in peace support operations as United Nations Military Observers

The course aim is to prepare selected NATO and PfP nations' personnel for working at the international peacekeeping missions as United Nations Military Observers.

The main topics of this course encompass the peculiarities of international peacekeeping operations led by the United Nations, including rules of engagement in the international peacekeeping missions, Military Observer duties and responsibilities and field training.

The given module covers initial training for the students in order to prepare them for further specific lectures and training. Therefore, the students will be familiarized with briefing development and briefing preparation techniques, main terminology on weapon and aircraft recognition, driving and accidents description, words and phrases to describe a person or an object, and how to perform a vehicle check.
